Fabric Quality & Canvas Treatment
The Fabric
We use a 10 oz. double-fill cotton army duck, chosen as the lightest weight that doesn’t sacrifice durability. It provides excellent insulation, retains heat, and is dense enough to keep rain out. We also use uncombed, long-fiber canvas, which is significantly stronger than combed alternatives made from shorter fibers. In fact, its tear and burst strength is nearly double that of comparable fabrics. This canvas offers an ideal balance of durability and breathability, allowing moisture to escape instead of becoming trapped and causing mildew.
The Treatment
To enhance its longevity, our canvas is treated with Sunforger®, a specialized treatment that strengthens the fabric while preserving its breathability. Sunforger® makes the canvas highly resistant to moisture, mildew, UV damage, and even reduces flammability. Sunforger® treatment is only applied in the United States and is widely regarded as the leading canvas treatment in the world.

Our Tent's Modular Capabilities
Davis Tent® canvas wall tents are designed with modular functionality that lets you expand your camp as your needs grow. By connecting tents together, you can create a more livable, organized, and efficient space in the field. A popular and highly practical setup is linking a canvas wall tent with a cook shack, keeping food prep, heat, and gear separate from sleeping areas while still allowing easy, weather-protected access. This modular approach improves comfort, safety, and camp flow, making extended hunts and base camps more enjoyable.

Most of our tents are modular so adding on in the future is possible.
