This bed roll worked great! I went camping the day after Thanksgiving in northern Arizona it kept me warm and dry. Very nice bed roll for the price and fast shipping.

I used this bedroll while elk hunting this year. I was totally impressed! We decided to bivy camp this year. One night we had a light rain and I stayed dry. A couple of nights we slept in the high country. We cleared a foot of snow from where we wanted to sleep, put down a manty and some pack pads and went to sleep. It was cold enough that my buddy’s clothes froze to the inside of his Military sleep system bivy.. The added layers of this bedroll and the breathability allowed me to stay pretty comfortable in spite of only having a twenty degree rated sleeping bag.. the temp was single digits one night and in the teens another night. I would recomend this bedroll to anyone… it is heavy, but we were on horses so the weight wasn’t a big deal.

Excellent workmanship and the 10 oz canvas was of good quality, but be aware you may not get a one-piece canvas. Mine had a seam at 28 inches on the bottom when folded. Davis says it will not effect performance after the seam gets wet, but it was disappointing they could not furnish a 7 foot wide piece. of tarp.

Hi Wade, thanks for the review. The 10oz Sunforger treated army duck canvas only comes on a 5′ width, and thus, needs to have a seam in order to get to 7′. We appreciate your review and hope you get many happy years out of your new bed tarp.

Purchased the 10oz version of this bedroll because I preferred the treated sunforger canvas as opposed to the untreated 15oz version. The sunforger is what top quality tents are made from and it’s still VERY thick and sturdy. Be aware though that sunforger comes in 5’ width so there will be a seam on the bedroll running the long way, it doesn’t effect the performance of the bedroll and I’d rather have the seam and the treatment than no treatment.
The snaps are top quality and there are a lot of them, easy to fasten and unfasten. Plenty of room inside for the biggest of sleeping bags. 3.5’ across when all folded. For a regular sized person you could ignore the snaps and fold each end all the way over you creating 5 layers of canvas on top of you.
One last thing I noticed that I realized isn’t mentioned on the site is that two of the corners (the ones at your head end that lay on top of you) have grommets in them. I called in to ask what these were for and interestingly they are a nod to historical bedrolls which used those holes to allow you to prop up the head of the canvas up off your face with a stick. Very cool. Could also use them to stake down that end of the bedroll if you wanted to use it as a makeshift tarp.
