A sod cloth is a band of material 10″ – 15″ that is sewn in around the bottom of a tent. Its purpose is to create a seal to the ground. This is accomplished by placing sod on it (burying it) this will prevent wind and rain from entering the tent from the bottom. We use a vinyl so it is easier to clean and won’t freeze to the ground as quickly as canvas. Our sod cloth is designed to go to the inside so it will not freeze to the ground.

Although I have not yet received the tent, I contacted the company with inquiries and was prepared to invest significantly more than I did. However, the exceptional representative I spoke with guided me through the necessary and unnecessary aspects of the purchase. Their professionalism and friendliness were commendable, and I am already confident that I have made a wise investment. If the product meets or exceeds the quality of the service, I will be thoroughly satisfied.

Can’t speak for the tent itself yet but the customer service has been great!

I've had my Davis tent for 11 years, I've used it in Wyoming and in Northern Wisconsin for our deer season, it's been in very high winds and very heavy snow conditions, we were hit with back to back 12"+ snow falls in Wisconsin, our neighbor had a Cabela's wall tent that was flat on the ground after the second snowfall and we were warm and comfortable in ours, I believe the quality is excellent, I've owned a couple other canvas tents and I will never buy anything but a Davis from here on out.
And the customer service is awesome
felt like I was talking to an old friend every time I've called
Thank you for a great product
