  1. Solid cot

This is a nice cot, watched assembly video before it arrived and put it together in about five minutes. This cot is rock solid, comfortable and I’m sure it will last a long time. I’ve bought two tents and various accessories from Davis and I have never been disappointed. The cot packs down small and is made in the USA very happy with this purchase.

    BIG BOY COT

    Heather Williams (verified owner)

I just received mine the other day and I love it, took me a little bit to put together the first time. Was not sure about the angle pieces if I had them placed in the correct spots. Once put together and my bed made I can say I slept wonderfully. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I only wish I would have purchased the camping cot pad also. But that will mean another order. Thank You Davis Canvas

    Best Cot I Own

    Kevin Miiller

We have tried (and returned) the Coleman Trailhead, EasyCot and the Teton Sport for two reasons. One, IMHO the mechanisms will not stand up for the long haul (too many plastic and aluminum parts). And two, my wife had difficulty leveraging their pivot arm maneuver. So, after reading the reviews and watching your videos, we decided to give your Big Boy a try. I just received the cots two days after I spoke with Chris Davis. After unboxing and assembly (which took only about five minutes) I couldn’t be more pleased with their quality of construction (no plastic parts). This is not a light-weight, gimmicky cot. It is comfortable and my wife was so pleased with the ease of assembly even using the stiffest setting. I am VERY confident these cots will last us a VERY long time. I can’t wait to use them for our Montana hunt in September. Thanks again Davis Tent.

Love the cot. Solution for legs falling off in Review.

    Dave Parr

Love it. As for the legs falling off as mentioned by Jason, I just put one bungee cord from the lower portion of a leg up to the upper cot brace for all three legs. That tension keeps the legs in place.

    Feet fall off constantly!

    Jason Armstrong (verified owner)

These cots when you ge then assembled are strong as they can get, but the feet fall off if you move them AT ALL. Follow the directions to put together. Easy enough. Try and flip them over the feet all fall off. Start over. It’s a three man job just to turn the thing over. Once it’s over and place sure an elephant can sit on it but if you lift the cot even 1 inch the feet all come off and back to the drawing board!! I spent $800 dollars on 7 cots my family hates them because of the feet falling off every time you scoot, lift, adjust, etc. I emailed Davis about it no response. I feel
Bad even selling them because I know what they will
Go through. Probably donate them to surplus store. Advice find a cot that folds and stays in tact with screws. I gave two stars because the material is good and it is very sturdy cot, but the most frustrating cot in the world kills three of the stars.

Hi Jason, it looks like you emailed 2/14 in the AM and the auto reply letting you know we are at a show and would get back to you the following Tuesday (today) was sent out also on 2/14. We do appreciate your patience while we were traveling for our most recent show. If you are not seeing a satisfactory fit on the leg pieces over the angles, there are two possible solutions that you can try.
      (1) Take a piece of electrical or duct tape that is about ½” to 1” wide and place it laterally from the rounded tip to the base.
      (2) When you put the leg on, take a piece of gorilla tape that is about 8” long and place half on the angle and half on the leg. I use gorilla tape so that I can dog ear one end and peel it off of either the angle or leg and leave it attached for next time.

  6. Exceptional

    Mark (verified owner)

I actually have two of these and think they are a fantastic product. I bought a second one to use as my primary bed after great success with my first one, years prior (it’s in storage). I travel a great deal and just love this thing. It may not be for everyone, as a primary bed, but it’s extremely comfortable for what it is. The build quality is fantastic. Great job, Davis Tent!!

    Good size and sturdy

    Andy (verified owner)

Most of the cots i’ve seen seemed too flimsy for me. The metal tubing felt like it would bend at the first incident. This Big Boy cot , i don’t see that happening. Frame tubing is thicker than any i have seen. It is very easy to assemble/disassemble and comes with a canvas storage bag with handle. Took me less than 10 minutes to put together. Very pleased with this item. Only down side . . my dogs already feel comfortable getting on top of it =/

    Best cot ever made!

    Scott Davenport (verified owner)

The Davis Cot is hands down the most comfortable and well built cot on ever made. However, while I’ve watched the assembly video a time or two, and read the instructions, assembly of this cot can be challenging. If you don’t pay attention to the orientation of the connectors (molded text faces downward), along with flipping the assembled cot over onto its feet without one or more of the legs coming off. Suggestions for a fix on that would be to have pins that pass through the leg ends and the connectors, preventing the legs from falling off when moving the cot about. Another suggestion is providing some form of cap to fill the holes on the pipe as the ends are sharp and can damage anything it comes in contact with.
