Description
The Big Boy Cot measures 7′ in length by 2′ 6″ in width which means plenty of room for a good night’s sleep. This camping cot also sits up off the ground 1′ 6″ a comfortable sitting height, allowing for storage underneath the cot. Like all Davis Tent products, this cot is the best material making it extremely durable. With this durability and a frame that wont fall apart this cot is the perfect addition to camp. Comes with easy to follow instructions so setting up is a breeze. Cot comes complete with carrying case.
Jack –
Instructions – A piece of paper does not last long out in the wild. Mine got really wet. Paint the instructions on the underside of the canvas for the cot, it would last longer and be easier to interpret.
Cot Legs – They just fall off all the time is you move the cot. Bailing twine will hold them on but there are a lot of different cheap ways to fix this. Davis Tent could set themselves apart with this by adding cot leveling adjustments to the legs to help adjust for floor or ground slopes.
Cot Carry Bag – Zipper is on the underside, the zipper is plastic. I don’t think this will work in the long run. I would rather see a carrying bag that would better fit in a pannier
Cot Sleeping Pad – Much more comfortable then expected but it could use a carry bag.
The cot is great once you get the legs attached and the cot in place. The canvas stretched a bit but not much (160lbs) over a week at elk camp. Two 27 gallon totes fit under it nicely with room to spare. It is a good buy considering most of the other cots I have used.
