We recommend this pannier! We make hundreds of these a year and everybody loves them! These are our most functional bags. They work as a pack saddle pannier for your sawbuck or Decker, or right over your western riding saddle. These panniers are SUPER tough and are resistant to mildew and rot, unlike canvas. This is without a doubt the best bag out there. Has adjustable loops (see additional photo). 3 Top straps which really help hold the load up and in place. (see additional photo) Notice the “v” on the side which has a d-ring sewn in at the top, great for lashing down your top load or works extremely well with our top pack as show. (top pack sold separately)
Size is approximately 20″ tall x 8″ wide x 32″ long * Note: in these photos we have a Coleman 48 quart cooler in each bag with room to spare.

I purchased 4 sets of western panniers from Davis Tent several years ago. We use them with our mules to pack in for bowhunting elk hunting camp every year, pack out elk quarters and transport gear, The iron cloth wears extremely well, through hail storms, snow and rain. These panniers are used heavily and you would never know from looking at them. I can’t say enough how pleased I am with Davis tent equipment, wall tents, stoves, and pack gear. If you truly want the best kind of panniers, look at Davis tent.

We got one of these last fall, and will definitely be buying more. I am very impressed with how durable they are, and how easy they are to adjust. We’ve used them on a sawbuck and western saddles, and are equally pleased.
