Internal Frames

We offer two completely different pole systems for our tents – The Internal Frame – and the Traditional Poles

Internal Frames: The drawing to the right is what we call a “three column” frame (three legs/rafters on each side of the tent) larger tents require a 4 column, 5 column frame – or more as needed. Keep in mind we sell the internal frame two ways. Complete – meaning all the poles and all the angles. Or “Angles Only” which is just the angles (the black pieces in the photo) saves you a ton of money on the shipping!! We provide a cut list and you buy your own 1″ EMT locally (available at any hardware store) and cut it to the lengths we provided. Tent and “angles only” is very simple to do and the most common. The clear space footprint makes this system our most popular seller it provides a wide open space inside your tent. Having the frame inside also is useful when hanging items such as organizers, lanterns, clothes, towels, etc.  If you’re in Denver, stop by our retail shop and see the 14X15 tent set up.

Traditional Pole System (shown in photo below): This system sets up quickly and can be done by one person. Poles are made from 1-3/8″ galvanized steel. Comes complete with ridge pole, uprights and wall poles all in a carrying bag and can be packed on horseback. It must be seen to fully appreciate how functional this system is.  A video is  available for those that can’t make it. It is quick and easy to setup – even an 8 year old girl can do it (Watch the Video).
